Ingredients

  • ( 400 grams) Raw lean lamb meat, diced
  • ( 4 tbsp) Vegetable oil
  • ( 1 medium) Brown onion, raw and peeled
  • ( 3 cloves) Raw garlic, peeled
  • ( 3 tsp) Raw ginger, peeled
  • ( 2 tsp) Curry powder
  • ( 2 1/4 cup) Raw pumpkin, peeled
  • ( 1/2 tsp) Turmeric powder
  • ( 1 cup) Brown rice
  • ( 300 ml) Liquid stock, prepared from reduced-salt stock cube or powder
  • ( 2 tsp) Ground black pepper
  • ( 1 tsp) Cooking salt

Method

  1. Cook the rice following the instructions on the packet.
  2. Cut the onion into small pieces.
  3. In a large pan, add the oil, onion, grated ginger, and garlic. Cook until the onions are soft and sweet.

  6. Add the stock and pumpkin. Cook until the pumpkin is just soft.
