Ingredients

  • ( 3/4 cup) Plain Flour
  • ( 1/2 cup) Caster Sugar
  • ( 1/2 tsp) Baking Powder
  • ( 1/4 tsp) Iodised Table Salt
  • ( 1/2 large) Egg
  • ( 1/3 cup) Skim Milk
  • ( 20 grams) Butter
  • ( 1 tbsp) Honey

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200ºc. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  2. In a small bowl, combine egg, milk, butter and honey. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
  3. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups three-fourths full. Bake until a toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean, 15-18 minutes.
  4. Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. Serve warm.
